wanting to partake in something ≠ having attraction

that's why cupiosexual and cupioromantic are labels that exist (among many other). that's why people can be sex and/or romance favorable and still be ace or aro.

i saw a couple people say you can't be asexual if you want to have sex, and that's just false. yes, some/a lot of aces and aros are repulsed by sex and/or romance, and they're so valid! but those of us who want sex/romance (for whatever reason) are valid and should not need to justify/defend ourselves.

it's called the a-spectrum for a reason.

Also I'm aroace and I DO feel attraction... just very very rarely, because I'm super demi and my ability to feel attraction even for people who've crossed the demi event horizon fluctuates significantly (I mean, between 0 and 100).

And here's the thing... I used to not feel attraction and want sex and romance. Now I am attracted to my partner sometimes but don't want sex and only sometimes want romance. It's complicated.

Anyway this is just me sharing my experiences, nothing more. Just wanted to talk about them.

Something i also feel like isnt talked about a lot is that you can be allosexual and not want to participate in sex.

You can experience sexual attraction or romantic attraction and not want to participate in those things, you don’t have to label yourself all these specific identities to fit in
